Rolls are where your memories come to life on Dispo, and you're able to create them privately with friends — or publicly with the community on Dispo, and can even invite them to share their perspective alongside yours.
Think of Rolls as the photo album you can't wait to share with everyone, but also want everyone to add their dispos too.
See the latest happenings in your Rolls immediately on the Activity panel, or look back on all of the dispos in a roll on the Grid panel.
The easiest way to create a roll is to head to your Library, and tap the giant roll button in the lower right-hand corner. From there, you can:
- Give your roll a name — up to 32 characters.
- Select a color for the roll.
-
- Choose whether you want the roll to be public or private.
- If you plan on adding friends to the roll, know you won't be able to change this (for now). You can read more about that here.
- Invite any friend(s) you'd like to be a part of your new roll.
...and just like that, you've made a roll! Now you can shoot to the roll directly from the roll bar above the Camera, or add a photo to your roll straight from your Library.
To add friends to a roll, you can:
- Navigate to their profile, either by searching for them or by receiving their profile link.
- Tap the Action Button in the lower right-hand corner, then tap Invite. You can add them to any roll that you have created, or are also a part of!
They will receive an invite to join, and you will receive a heads up in your Notifications tab when they've joined!
- Choose whether you want the roll to be public or private.
-
Within a roll, there are four actions at the top of a roll you’ve joined, or a roll that you’ve created. Here’s what they enable you to do:
- Add to: Add dispos from your Library directly to the roll.
- Shoot to: Shoot to a roll directly from the Camera.
- Invite: Invite a user to the roll, and generate a QR code to share with friends.
- Share: Share externally, and link directly to, the roll.
You can leave a roll, or delete a roll you’ve created, within the About panel of a roll. Additionally, you can report the roll by tapping the three-dots to the right of the roll name.
- Note: If you leave a roll you created that still contains members, the admin role will transfer to the user that has been a part of the roll the longest, and your content will be removed from the roll.
